I’m Amy — a mother, teacher, creative, and woman continually being refined by grace.

Shimmer in Shade was born from a quiet realization: faith doesn’t grow loudest in the spotlight. It grows in the hidden places — in surrender, in repentance, in obedience no one else sees.

I believe spiritual maturity isn’t about collecting more information. It’s about practicing what we already know. It’s about staying anchored when emotions shift, when life feels unfair, when growth feels slow.

Here, I write for women who don’t want surface faith.
Women who want depth.
Women who want to stop drifting and start becoming.

My background is in education and creative expression, but my deepest calling is discipleship — beginning in my own home. I am building a devotional legacy for my daughters, and I’m inviting you to build one too.
